Safari Activities

A safari can be a once-in-a-lifetime holiday that some people will never experience, so make sure to make the most of your trip while you are in East Africa. Spice up your safari with one of the following optional activities:

Hot-air Balloon Safari

As the sun begins to rise, enjoy a 1-hour hot air balloon ride for a unique game viewing experience. Enjoy magnificent views of the landscape and wildlife below you. Return for a champagne breakfast at the landing site. Then head out on a morning game drive. (Only available in Masai Mara Game Reserve & Serengeti National Park)

Masai Village Visit

Visit an authentic, traditional Masai village. Go inside a Masai hut, watch Masai warriors make fire using only sticks, listen to Masai women sing traditional Masai songs, watch Masai warriors perform a jumping display, and learn about the culture of these traditionally nomadic people. The Masai still live within the parks and reserves in East Africa, providing an interesting look at a culture that has changed very little in several centuries. (Only available in Masai Mara Game Reserve, Serengeti National Park & Ngorongoro Conservation Area)

Bush Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner away from the lodge. Eat at a designated area that feels like the middle of the African bush. This private dining experience with candles ablaze is very romantic for couples and the perfect add-on for large groups.

Sundowner

Return from your afternoon game drive to drinks and canapes (appetizers) away from the lodge. With the look and feel of the African bush, watch the sunset on an amazing day on safari.

Walking Safari

Leave the vehicle behind and explore the African bush on foot. Get a feel for what it’s like at eye level in the untamed environment. Walk with a Masai guide who will teach you about the flora and fauna around you. (Only available at some lodges & camps)
